Future challenges

Under the supervision of the Chief Metallurgist, the Metallurgist will be responsible for monitoring the metallurgical performance of the plant and contributing to the development of new projects and/or improvements to existing facilities. Their main responsibilities include:

Conducting studies to improve the performance of various sections of the concentrator (crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening, and filtration).Participating in the implementation of new projects aimed at optimizing the plant.Organizing, coordinating, conducting plant and laboratory tests, and analyzing the collected data.Providing technical support to surface water treatment facilities and water management.Ensuring the quality of metallurgical accounting: plant balance, data reconciliation.Maintaining communication of control plans, guidelines, and operational procedures to production and maintenance teams.Supervising technicians and interns.Coordinating activities with other departments such as mining, services, engineering, etc.

Profile Sought

Bachelor's degree in mining, metallurgical, chemical engineering, or equivalent experience.Relevant experience and/or internship in the field. Ability to identify and diagnose issues encountered in various stages of the process. Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.

Assets 

Experience with flotation circuits.Good knowledge of MS Office software suite.Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset due to frequent exchanges with French-speaking team members, facilitating and improving internal communications.
