Summary of responsibilities:
The Translator, Revisor is responsible for translating, revising and ensuring quality control of documents as required. The Translator, Revisor performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
Graduation from a recognized college or university in Translation, French literature, Linguistics or another speciality relevant to the duties of the position. One (1) to two (2) years of experience as a full-time translator working in both official languages. Knowledge of the Official Languages Act and its role in the public sector.This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and problem solve. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. Ability to work well under pressure, undertight deadlines and in an environment with changing priorities.Valuable skills include:
Previous experience in the public sector. Knowledge of automated systems used for developing translation and terminology databases. Knowledge of CATSA’s mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.Specific work requirements
Ability to work overtime as required; Language Profile: Bilingual, Expert proficiency, PPPP; Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
