Purpose

The Virtualization Analyst’s role will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for Virtualization infrastructure (Azure, Vmware and Citrix). This includes securing, configuring and optimizing all virtual systems and services. Development and implementation of standards/processes on Virtualization Platforms like MS Azure. Acts as a domain specialist for infrastructure teams in the design, delivery and support of IT solutions. The Virtualization Analyst’s obligation will be to develop and maintain SLAs for all organizational virtualization solutions.

Accountabilities

• Serve as a domain specialist for MS Azure and Cloud IaC SME, Multi-year practical experience implementing Infrastructure as code. In depth knowledge of MS Azure Well-Architected Framework
• Rich experience in Terraform Development, Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code through Terraform (in particular) and others (in general) 
• Experience in developing CI/CD release definitions [Pipelines], Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments including Azure DevOps and Jenkins
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, identifying issues and opportunities to improve system performance, stability, and security.
• Design and develop scripts and templates to automate processes for creating, managing, and updating IT infrastructure, ensuring faster and more efficient operations.
• Provision, configure, and monitor Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
• Implement security measures and manage access controls in Azure.
• Configure backups and implement disaster recovery strategies for Azure resources.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure roles and responsibilities and recommend their implementation to improve efficiency.
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing among team members to maintain best practices and promote innovation.
• Develop strategies for scaling infrastructure resources, allowing for growth of the company's IT systems and applications.
• Collaborate with business and IT leadership to assess short and long-term server capacity requirements associated with the organization's infrastructure
• Work with vendors, business users and other resources to assess and understand technologies and develop proposed beneficial technical solutions
• Ability to analyze partner requirements and convert into secure solutions
• Work within established configuration and organizational change policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the server infrastructure
• Hands on experience on provisioning, operating, maintaining and migrating systems running on Azure and VMWare
• Identify technology gaps and work to evaluate and select appropriate value-add solutions and innovations
• Ensures appropriate compliance and audit requirements are met
• Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation and respond to outages related to server infrastructure and services

Education and Experience

Required Experience:


• Expert level knowledge in Virtualization technologies - MS Azure IaaS especially – IaC with Terraform
• Excellent level knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD, AD-Connect
• Experience with the Azure CLI, PowerShell/Azure PowerShell , GitHub and Terraform
• Azure DR and Backup, Azure Monitoring
• Automation, management and enforcement of different policies using Azure Policies
• Experience with datacenter technologies
• Self-motivated with an ability to multi-task and prioritize across competing initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing technical landscapes
• Ability to communicate with business partners from many different backgrounds and technical abilities
