Morrison Homes is currently looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Design & Drafting Team for our single-family division. As a top, award-winning builder, we have worked hard to build a reputation as the Homebuyer’s Best Friend™ and are looking for a candidate to bring our architectural designs to life, ensuring they are translated into constructible and cost-effective solutions. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Design & Drafting.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare complete set of working drawings, including plot plansCreation of new complete construction details as requestedWork with a broad range: detached and semidetached, townhomes, zero and traditional lots. Review contract documents and customer changes, update standard plans and effectively communicate all information to all partiesReview architectural control guidelines

Job Requirements

Architectural and Building Technology Diploma or DegreeExperience in the home building industry with a strong commitment to customer service and technical excellenceKnowledge and previous experience with AutoCad software requiredAbility to interact with other industry professionals, associated trades and industry authoritiesUnderstanding of local building codes, by-laws, and architectural controlsSelf motivated and hardworking individual with excellent communication and problem solving skillsWell organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environmentCollaborate as part of a team while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
