Description:

TEKsystems client in Delta, BC is adding an outside sales representative to cover the Interior territory: Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton, Salmon Arm, etc. This permanent role is best suited to someone with at least 2+ years of outside sales experience. In this role, you will be responsible for growing new business while also maintaining current customers business needs.

Duties:

• Partnering and building relationships with internal/external stakeholders.

• Scheduling meetings a week in advance, travelling to visit clients around BC.

• Manage products and programs to assigned accounts within designated territory.

• Sell to assigned accounts within designated territory suitable company products under guidelines of company sales procedures.

• Develops pricing strategies, price lists, product programs, marketing programs and strategies with Branch Manager.

• Develop new accounts in conjunction with the inside sales department

• Keeps in contact with inside sales team to advise customer changes or concerns.

• Works with other departments in the company to fulfill customer needs, these departments include; management, sales, shipping, receiving, processing and credit.

• Capable of servicing customer objections, complaints, aggravations with calm approach even if the opinion of the customer does not agree with the salesperson.

• Exemplify specialized knowledge of company products, services and policies

• Has specialized knowledge concerning the handling of sales, returns, credits, and

adjustments

• Knows company procedures so they can effectively schedule customer deliveries

• Prepares formal quotes, price lists, credits, sales reports

• Maintain knowledge of each account so they can meet their requirements; be alert to danger

signals which might indicate credit or other problems; note changes and new marketing trends in the area.

• Prepares a daily sales report though CRM as well as a monthly reports to assess current market conditions and trends. Weekly reports for all sales staff, monthly report is for the branch manager.

• Adheres to company sales procedures and guidelines

• Participates in a monthly sales meeting describing market conditions, competition and challenges in their territory.

• Maintains line of communication with branch manager, suggests changes in pricing,

policy and branch marketing activities.

• Has responsibility to carry out the quality policy as directed and trained by the quality

manager or their designated representative.

• Has the responsibility and authority to stop any non-conforming activity affecting the quality of any product or procedure within Client

Scheduling:

Monday to Friday - Standard business hours are 8am-4:30pm. You will have the flexibility to manage your time as you want to. More than anything, results driven and manages time well.

100% remote role if the right candidate is located in interior (Kamloops, Kelowna, Salmon Arm, etc.)

Requirements:

• +2 years of experience in an outside sales role where travel was required/not solely office-based

• Relationship-driven sales attitude - willingness to go the extra mile to develop client relationships and satisfy business needs

• Valid driving license

• MS dynamics

• Previous experience/knowledge of metals (considered an asset)

• Post-secondary education in sales/marketing (Considered an asset)
