Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pre-owned Sales Manager to join our reputable client's dealership located in Markham, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic vehicle sales and a proven track record in managing pre-owned vehicle inventories, sales processes, and customer relationships. This role is critical in driving the success of our pre-owned vehicle department through effective leadership, strategic planning, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management:

    • Oversee the acquisition, pricing, and display of pre-owned vehicles.
    • Conduct regular assessments of inventory to ensure it meets market demand and dealership standards.
    • Manage reconditioning processes to ensure all vehicles are sale-ready.
  • Sales Management:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed dealership targets.
    • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance.
    • Monitor sales activities to ensure compliance with dealership policies and industry regulations.
  • Customer Relations:

    • Foster positive relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
    • Promote a customer-centric culture within the sales team.
  • Marketing and Promotions:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective advertising campaigns for pre-owned vehicles.
    • Plan and execute promotional events and sales initiatives to attract potential buyers.
  • Financial Oversight:

    • Prepare and manage budgets for the pre-owned vehicle department.
    • Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
    • Negotiate purchase prices with suppliers to optimize profitability.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
    • Implement training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive management, with a focus on pre-owned vehicles.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a sales team.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic vehicle brands and models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and dealership management software.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
