Become an imperative part of a steadily developing team at a thriving company as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This short-term contract / temporary position is offered through Robert Half. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator. Located in Sidney, British Columbia, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary position.

What you get to do every single day

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

- Carry out additional projects as required

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

- Help with internal and external audits as required

- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

- Provide support to internal business partners

- Operate full-cycle A/P

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Practical knowledge of QuickBooks

- Check Runs experience

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience

- Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing

- Data entry experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

- Quality experience with SAP

- Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices

- General familiarity with Oracle

- Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel

- Excellent attention to detail

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
