Quality Engineer

We’re looking for our next experienced Quality Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks.
A day in the life as a Quality Engineer:
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into automated test cases
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks, scripts, and tools to streamline the testing process and enhance overall efficiency
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting potential solutions
- Continuously improve test coverage, test methodologies, and automation infrastructure to enhance overall test effectiveness and efficiency
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior QA team members, promoting best practices and ensuring a high level of code quality
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation and quality assurance
If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, this role could be for you:
- I have 3+ years of proven work experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, with a focus on automated testing and test frameworks
- I have a strong understanding of the quality process in an Agile culture
- I have proven experience using tools and frameworks such as ACCELQ, Appium, or Selenium
- I have experience with Jenkins and/or other build tools to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
- I have knowledge of external cloud testing solutions such as AWS Device Farm or BrowserStack
- I have experience writing BDD scenarios using Cucumber/Serenity/another BDD tool
- I’m willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA
- I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
- I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
