We are looking for an electrical engineering co-op student to join the ATCO Electric Yukon (AEY) Engineering team Your career journey at has the potential to be full of new experiences, inspiring challenges, and growth without boundaries. Who you are:

Must be enrolled in an Engineering co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university. Have Excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, using appropriate technical vocabulary. Hold a valid Class driver's license.

Distribution System Planning

Discipline: Electrical Engineering

Description:

Operate power system simulation software (CYME) for load flow analysis. Perform electrical calculations such as transformer loading, voltage drop Develops protection schemes, regulator settings, transformer sizes. Reviews historical load and generation data and assists in the implementation of recent technologies. Daily support as needed to Service staff with transformer upgrades, fuse coordination, equipment upgrades and replacements, contingency studies, and outage investigations.
