Client Services Coordinator - Health Care Aide (HCA)

Senior Helpers Kelowna is seeking a Health Care Aide to help lead our client services team If you have experience working in assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, senior living facilities, nursing homes, home care or healthcare, we’d love to meet with you.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Client Services team, conduct initial assessments and develop personalized care plans for new clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and their families to ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Supervise and support the caregiving team, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Coordinate with medical professionals, therapists, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage client records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Handle client inquiries and address concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Providing emotional support to our caregiver team, our clients and their families
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and evaluation of caregivers.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and client-centered care within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial laws, regulations, and Senior Helpers policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within the senior care industry.
  • Strong understanding of senior care practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Office applications (i.e.
    Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Experience with WellSky client management software would be an asset.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Negative TB test completed in the past 90 days
  • A negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 days
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred) 
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various days/hours, including evenings and weekends
