SAGE Dining Services Canada is looking for a talented hands-on Chef Manager/Assistant Food Service Director for a beautiful private boarding school in scenic Victoria, BC. Our client and their vibrant community appreciate the dedication of our food service team. We’re seeking a dynamic leader who takes pride in delighting the community with engaging pop-up events, exceptional catering experiences, and outstanding guest service. We aim to impress not only at our formal catering events but at every opportunity
In this role, you'll collaborate with other managers to design and produce menus, plan and execute catering events, and manage ordering, inventory, and an exceptional kitchen team. Our ideal candidate is a true culinarian who is ready to work hands-on in the kitchen when needed. They will lead a diverse team of motivated individuals and impress our client community with creative, fun, and fabulous food.

What you'll do:
Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and develop client relationships. Assist in general location management as part of the SAGE management team. Assist in ordering and inventory management, scheduling, catering and production, as needed. Communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively. Implement and maintain HACCP standards. Participate in the interviewing, hiring, training, and ongoing mentoring of the team. Lead by example.
What you'll need:
Culinary degree preferred, but not required. Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Fluency in sanitation and safety standards. Dynamic get-it-done work ethic. Strong customer service skills. Ability to plan and organize with proficiency.-
