This roleis instrumental in process improvement and delivering exceptional front-linecustomer service as the first point of contact for enterprise application support.As the “captain of the queue” for Tier 1 support, you will provide timely andaccurate triage, resolution, and escalation of issues through smooth hand-offs.You will implement and operate standardized tools and procedures for ticketmanagement, prioritization, and client communication. Additionally, you willactively participate in IT projects aimed at enhancing our line of businessapplication delivery.

This position plays akey role in supporting the core IT functions of Requirements Gathering,Application Maintenance, Application Development Quality, Application Security,Application Integration, Business Intelligence and Reporting, BusinessAnalysis, Project Management, and Innovation. We are looking forcandidates who are technically proficient in application support, excel incustomer service, and have strong work and time management skills. As our preferred candidate, youwill have:

Must have a recognized 2-year Technical ComputerSystems diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Must have 3 years’ experience in a comparableposition: working with Microsoft operating systems, networkproducts and desktop products working in a medium sized networked environment setting up hardware and software systems performing maintenance and support on software and/orhardware systems with at least 1 year experience programming,developing, implementing or maintaining application systems in a medium sized organization. with at least 1 year experience supporting medium tolarge scale purchased business applications with a working knowledge of enterprise class databasemanagement systems Preferred additional experience: providing technical, application or user training working with Microsoft M365 products, includingbusiness intelligence and reporting tools working with financial, scheduling, registration,dispatching, and/or work management application systems providing applications support in a Microsoft SQLServer environment Must have demonstrated ability to establish andmaintain effective working relationships with other Information Technologystaff, end-user department personnel and outside vendors and consultants
Must have the ability to work with limited supervision
Must have the ability to work in a demanding andfrequently stressful environment
Must have excellent verbal and written communicationskills
Must be available to perform after hours call outduties on a scheduled basis
Must have valid driver’s license and be able toperform field service calls

$34.86 to $52.53 per hour

Hours of Work:

75hours biweekly; Monday to Friday, some evening andweekend work may be required when needed. 

Additional Information:

The term of this position is anticipated to be 14months. The location of work for the term is onsite at City Hall and other City Facilities.
