Marqeta is looking for a Senior KYC Risk Analyst to join our Risk Operations Team. You will be responsible for managing day to day activities related to consumer and business KYC for Marqeta’s card programs. You will help other team members in resolving conflicts, issues or complex scenarios. We work Flexible First . This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario or Vancouver Metropolitan Area, British Columbia, Canada. We’d love for you to join us What You’ll Do Independently resolve problems that require in depth investigation and/or research Conduct follow-up research on CIP/KYC issues Maintain or exceed established standards for customer service, and resolves complex issues with little or no supervision or direction Coordinates with Issuing Banks to ensure that Marqeta is compliant with their requirements for CIP/KYC; performs required CIP/KYC audits in compliance with bank requirements Practice using sound decision-making and discretion in making independent decisions that mitigate corporate risk at each decision point throughout the review. Identify process and/or system improvement initiatives and resolution in order to re-engineer and streamline workflow. Maintains a current understanding of and complies with Marqeta and Issuing Bank procedures and policies, including regulatory compliance issues related to BSA procedures and policies, GLBA, Dispute Resolution and Safeguarding Customer Information. What We’re Looking For: 5+ years related experience (including minimum 1 year experience with KYC processes in Europe) Proven ability to develop and implement efficient and effective business and consumer CIP/KYC processes Demonstrated ability to achieve results through cross-functional, virtual teams Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email) Skilled in G-Suite, Snowflake, SQL and Looker or similar technologies Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independently Undergraduate level degree in STEM or business, finance or economics Card payment issuance, processor, program manager experience Knowledge of basic regulatory and compliance requirements in card payments space Virtual “Onsite” consisting of 3, 45 min calls Offer
