Director, Strategic Program Management – Montreal, QC Join Scotiabank to drive growth in the Quebec market. The Director, Strategic Program Management is responsible for executing the bank’s growth strategy in Quebec, overseeing strategic initiatives across all business lines and corporate functions. Reporting to the President, Quebec, the role partners closely with the Head of Strategy, Quebec, and the national leadership team. Key Responsibilities Align the portfolio of strategic initiatives with overall strategy and ensure successful achievement of key results. Plan, resource, and execute initiatives that support our strategy, managing and escalating resourcing discrepancies as required. Maintain a clear execution measurement and communication framework. Apply sound project management principles and governance, aligning with the Enterprise Project Delivery framework and industry best practices. Act as a key liaison between business groups to ensure continuous collaboration and shared outcomes. Lead a small team of project‑management professionals to maximize direct/indirect P&L impact. Manage a complex portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives with interdependencies across business lines and functions. Report program/project status, monitor critical path, assess risks, and escalated issues to senior management. Define and disseminate project management best practices to enhance execution discipline across QC business portfolio. Integrate the bank’s risk appetite and culture into day‑to‑day decisions. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (asset). 10+ years managing project‑management teams, including senior project managers. Excellent communication skills in French and English. Strong knowledge of project‑management methodologies. Experience with banking and wealth‑management products desirable. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with project/program management software and systems (asset).
