Overview Join to apply for the SAIT Dining Centre Manager role at Hotel Arts Group . The Hotel Arts Group is currently looking for a Dining Centre Manager for SAIT to consistently provide quality and production for 200+ students and faculty daily in an organized and effective manner. Location & Salary Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada Salary: CA$75,000 - CA$85,000 Responsibilities Be the leader and support for the front-line staff. Work with, and support, the General Manager. Create and maintain checklists for opening and closing duties. Will model best practices for staff and set tone during service. Will be friendly, calm, and efficient. Will take a lead role in resolving problems including (unresolved) customer complaints, staff disputes, facilities maintenance, supply runs, and general emergencies. Will promote and maintain a "Service Ready" leadership style. Will represent Hotel Arts and SAIT with a “Class and Care” attitude that is felt by students and staff in every situation. Qualifications 3 years’ previous successful supervisory role in a fast-paced environment: large volume or cafeteria experience is preferred. Must show creativity, enthusiasm, have high energy levels and be self motivated. Previous successful hands‑on experience with training of new employees and building new teams. Ability to remain calm and positive in high‑tempo, difficult stressful situation. Must be able lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs. and stand for 8+ hours/day. Be a strong team player, stepping in to assist when necessary. Ability to fluently communicate in verbal and written English. Valid Food Handing Safety & Sanitation Certificate required. High School Diploma. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Exchange, Word, Excel). Open and flexible availability for scheduling.
