Primary Job Title Risk Analyst- SAS, Credit Risk model Alternate/Related Job Titles Credit Risk Analyst Quantitative Risk Specialist Stress Testing Analyst Location Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility Hybrid (4 days onsite per week; Monday–Thursday anchor days) Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 13 months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: C$40–45/hr Shift/Hours: M–F, core business hours (37.5 hours/week; 7.5 hours/day) Job Summary The Risk Analyst will support the development and implementation of stress testing models for the U.S. commercial portfolio while performing specialized analytics aligned with Model Risk Policy and Data Governance standards. This role offers significant exposure to high-impact modeling projects, cross-functional stakeholders, and a dynamic professional environment focused on advancing risk analytics capabilities. Key Responsibilities Implement and enhance credit risk stress testing and forecasting models. Assist with analytics and reporting activities including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, attribution analysis, and impact assessments. Build and maintain analytics platforms to support modeling and reporting requirements. Communicate model methodologies effectively and maintain clear, well-structured documentation. Ensure adherence to Model Risk Policy and relevant Data Governance requirements. Maintain and improve existing models and develop new credit risk models for emerging business lines. Required Experience Master’s degree or higher in quantitative disciplines (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Economics). Knowledge of credit risk models or stress testing methodologies. Nice-to-Have Experience Experience developing credit risk models or stress testing models for lending portfolios. Familiarity with BASEL III Capital framework, credit risk parameters (PD, LGD, EAD), IFRS 9 forward‑looking methodologies, or stress testing processes. Ability to read/write Python, MATLAB, or C++. Required Skills Coding experience in SAS. Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience building or maintaining credit risk models. Ability to explain complex model concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Strong documentation and methodology communication capabilities. Additional Skills Model maintenance and enhancement. Development of credit risk models for new business lines. Platform building to support modeling and analytics workflows. Disqualifiers Significant job hopping or multiple short‑term contracts. Lack of a quantitative academic background (Master’s or PhD required).
