Overview Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Technical Project Manager. Plans, executes, and delivers complex software projects within ISD. Manages all aspects of the software project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Works closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, customer experience operations managers, IT, product and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment with the company’s technical software products and business goals. This is a full-time position. This position is hybrid. Any office‑based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive with occasional travel to Niagara on the Lake office. Responsibilities Leads the end‑to‑end management of software projects, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Develops detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgeting. Creates and maintains Gantt charts as per the project schedule and timelines. Keeps Gantt chart continuously updated based on progress. Ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinates and communicates with development, product teams and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery. Facilitates communication between technical teams, stakeholders, senior management, and customers to align on project goals and expectations. Organizes and leads project meetings, including kick‑offs, status updates, and retrospectives. Maintains effective communication with suppliers and key project personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and personnel. Manages integrations with third parties. Manages and coordinates projects that are shared between multiple development teams including external vendors, contractors. Monitors and tracks project progress, providing regular status reports to stakeholders, senior management, and customers. Maintains comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk logs, and change requests. Ensures that project deliverables meet quality standards and technical requirements. Identifies internal and external dependencies, certification requirements, licensing, potential project risks, develops mitigation strategies, and incorporates adjustments into project plan and schedule. Proactively manages changes in project scope, schedule, and resources. Resolves project issues promptly and escalates when necessary to ensure project success. Follows Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid models as per project needs. Implements and promotes Agile practices and methodologies within project teams. Facilitates Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives. Continuously seeks opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the project lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering and Business Administration. 15+ years of total experience. Minimum 10 years’ experience as a technical project manager for software products. Experience modernizing software products to next gen. Experience working on Point‑of‑Sale systems is required. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Master Certification (CSM). Excellent Project planning and management, decision making and problem‑solving experience. Experience managing Windows, Web, and Mobile app projects. Experience with cloud technologies. Experience using software project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, SharePoint, etc. Experience creating and maintaining Gantt charts. Strong technical background, with a solid understanding of software development processes, architecture, and technologies. Experience and expertise managing integration with third parties. Excellent problem‑solving and project planning/management skills. Must be a team player, approachable, helpful and open‑minded to resolve conflicts. Exhibit leadership skills and effectively collaborate with peers and sub‑ordinates. Clear and effective communication of technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences. Communicates and explains concepts to junior team members, with a sensitivity to personal ability and cultural diversity. May from time to time communicate bad news. Provides time to time updates, information, answers, and solutions to management proactively and on request. Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously.
