These are permanent roles based in Toronto offering hybrid working. Role Reporting into the Planning & Schedule Management Lead for the GO Expansion Program, the role forms part of the Integrated Program Delivery Team (IPDT) The role is responsible for delivering, and where possible exceeding, the client’s expectations across the following areas of responsibility within a large, multidisciplinary program delivery team This includes managing IPD best practices to be incorporated in contract management, engaging all key stakeholders on contract transformation under the PDP/IPDT model, managing IPD practices that are part of procedures, processes, and training in the management of contracts, and overseeing changes in model and structure related to planning and schedule management among the PDP commercial team and vendor community The role supports the review of existing planning and schedule processes and procedures and updates them based on IPDT model best practices to ensure alignment across the GOE Program and promote “best for program” decision‑making It involves supporting the development and implementation of program‑wide project requirements that projects must comply with to improve consistency and align with the overall delivery approach The position also supports the development and deployment of a program contingency management process and manages IPDT procedures, systems, and toolsets for the program management of contracts across the GO Expansion Program The individual will support a program‑wide view of planning and scheduling considerations to ensure consistency of approach, and assist projects and their supply chains to deliver efficiently and effectively They will take a program‑level approach to identifying and addressing consistent causes of cost and schedule overruns and will share best practices and lessons learned across the program The role involves ensuring consistency in delivery approaches by standardizing program and project procedures to ensure integration and compliance with statutory requirements and the client’s expectations It includes creating the capability for consistent and real‑time reporting linked to the Program Control Centre to enable “best for program” decision‑making that is knowledge‑led and aligned with program‑level outcomes and objectives The individual will also support program‑level risk management through identification and mitigation of risks and optimization of opportunities, as well as engage stakeholders at a program level as required by the Stakeholder Management Plan The role provides consistent management in the area of planning and schedule management to program stakeholders and colleagues dedicated to each of the program delivery units It requires demonstrated experience in contract administration and management of large capital programs, as well as planning and scheduling experience on large capital transit projects The position supports the management of stakeholder, vendor, contractor, and project team relationships and contributes to transforming delivery team and supply chain cultures through new delivery models The individual should have experience developing innovative, methodical, and robust planning and scheduling solutions to resolve complex contract issues, disputes, and claims while adhering to policies and contract terms Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are essential, as are analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities The successful candidate provides full capability in planning and schedule management to program management stakeholders across all delivery units They take responsibility for their actions, lead by example, and act in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner. They are self‑aware, make the most of their talents and resourcefulness, and effectively persuade and influence others toward desired outcomes They demonstrate a forward‑thinking perspective, explore innovative approaches, and leverage new technologies to enhance delivery, helping others adapt as needed The individual communicates clearly and confidently with their audience in mind, listens respectfully to others, considers different viewpoints, and values teamwork—balancing team and individual responsibilities, giving and welcoming feedback, and prioritizing team success over personal interests Here’s What You’ll Need: 10 years of Planning and Schedule Management experience in Rail and Transit projects Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in the Commercial and Contract Management disciplines Licenses OR Certifications: Holding recognized certifications including PMP, PMI‑SP, or PSP Oracle Primavera P6 certificate is considered an asset Skills and Competencies: Holding or is working towards professional qualification an asset Knowledge and experience in Power BI Strong understanding of prevailing Project Management and Scheduling methods Extensive knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Power Query Competent in Navisworks, Synchro, Power BI and TILOS is an asset Expert understanding of multi‑discipline engineering and construction projects Inclined to maintain professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices Ability to arrange priorities and elevate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership Keen eye for detail and adept problem‑solving abilities Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal) Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured, disciplined, technology‑driven environment Proven capacity to anticipate, identify, and minimize risks Expert ability to detect and capitalize on others' strengths Demonstrated capability to supervise, delegate, and develop capacity Effectively leads multi‑resource scheduling teams Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment by ensuring effective teamwork, promotion of innovation, and overall excellence Tact to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Engineering, Strategy/Planning, and Consulting Industries Rail Transportation and Transportation Programs #J-18808-Ljbffr
