Key Accountabilities The Manager, Business Development plays a critical role in generating revenue through Evergreen’s social enterprise activities based out of Evergreen Brick Works. Day‑in‑the‑Life Cultivating new and nurturing existing corporate and tenant relationships with a focus on revenue conversion. Developing and executing strategies to advertise and lease available office/work‑space and co‑working opportunities. Ensuring positive tenant relationships from lease negotiation through to the daily on‑site experience, collaborating with Facilities staff. Creating outbound sales strategies for third‑party events, corporate events, team‑building, and weddings. Transforming interest into committed collaborations, managing proposals to contract negotiations. Developing pricing strategies across partnership models, including tenancies, space rentals, and vendor relationships. Collaborating across the organization to drive corporate revenue and support annual financial goals. Staying current on Evergreen’s product and service offerings to identify promotion opportunities. Using market knowledge to propose new business opportunities that contribute to the social enterprise. Supporting and mentoring staff in a professional manner. Contributing to excellent cross‑departmental collaboration for a positive on‑site experience. What You’ll Bring 5+ years of experience in business development, leasing, or partnership management, ideally in a nonprofit or mixed‑use property setting. Proven success in revenue generation, contract negotiation, and client relationship management leading to long‑term partnerships. Knowledge of commercial leasing and tenant‑relations best practices. Strong understanding of the earned revenue model and its role in charitable missions. Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills, aligning client needs with organization values and offerings. Skilled communicator and negotiator with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities. Experience leading or mentoring staff and fostering collaborative work environments. You Might Have the Following Assets Working knowledge of Salesforce and Caterease. Working knowledge of Angus Anywhere Work Order system. Additional Details This is a full‑time, salaried role. Target hire rate: $75,000 – $82,000. Paid vacation allocation: 15 days. Supervised by Director, Events & Public Programming; has at least three direct reports. Hybrid organization; regular presence on site required; preference for Toronto‑based candidate. Expect on‑site daily presence with occasional evening and weekend work.
