Lead Site Reliability Engineer and AI Ops, GFT

Lead Site Reliability Engineer and AI Ops, GFT Join RBC’s Technology and Operations division as a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (AI Ops) for Global Functions Technology (GFT). This role focuses on delivering high‑performing applications and supporting enterprise gen AI tools and digital products. What you’ll do Provide technical support for the enterprise’s gen AI tools such as Functions Assist and other digital products. Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot issues in production environments. Collaborate with the development team to understand system architecture and design. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality. Implement automation tools and frameworks to improve operational efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation on system procedures and troubleshooting guides. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enable seamless deployment of new features and updates on cloud and Linux systems. Debug and resolve ETL job issues and other data issues. Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery solutions. Participate in on‑call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical production systems. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of professional experience as a DevOps/SRE Engineer or comparable role. Hands‑on experience with RedHat Linux, Windows, and cloud tools. Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes. Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, investigative mindset. Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Working knowledge of databases (Postgres, Microsoft SQL, etc.). Experience with ansible, Helm, OpenShift or similar cloud automation tools.
