Java/J2EE & Microservices Developer/Lead - Remote Apply for the Java/J2EE & Microservices Developer/Lead role at NTT DATA North America. We are seeking an experienced technical lead to drive the development and support of enterprise‑level microservices applications, mentor a team of developers, and implement DevOps practices. Req ID: Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Java/J2EE developers in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices‑based applications. Provide guidance on architecture, coding standards, and code reviews. Architect microservices and design APIs for integration. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Manage application performance, availability, and security. Design and develop scalable microservices using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions. Lead application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for high system reliability. Maintain legacy applications and refactor as needed. Develop monitoring and alerting for batch jobs and application health. Promote continuous improvement through metrics analysis, automation, and training sessions. Interact with clients to understand requirements and present solutions. Communicate progress and risk mitigation to stakeholders. Participate in planning, estimation, and retrospectives. Enforce code quality and security standards through automated testing and reviews. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory policies. Qualifications 12+ years of software development and delivery experience. 2+ years as a Java technical lead with team management responsibilities. 8+ years of Java/J2EE experience (core Java, concurrency, JVM tuning, J2EE concepts). 5+ years in Spring Framework / Spring Boot / microservices architecture. 5+ years designing and implementing REST APIs. 3+ years with Docker containerization. 2+ years with Kubernetes orchestration. 3+ years Weblogic deployment experience. 2+ years frontend (Angular) collaboration. 5+ years relational database design and performance tuning. 3+ years DevOps / CI‑CD experience. 2+ years monitoring and observability tools. 2+ years batch job design and troubleshooting. 3+ years application support and incident management.
