Position Available: Warehouse Manager Location: Edmonton, AB The Warehouse Manager will lead and direct all operations of the Distribution Center. Design and implement the facility plan to optimize cost, quality, and safety, and manage the daily activities of a distribution center. Responsible for identifying and building a leadership team that monitors inventory integrity, minimizes loss and manages expenses to maximize revenue. Ensures that goods are received, stocked, and dispatched on time to meet customer satisfaction. May be responsible for evaluating freight services, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with chosen vendors. Ensures that all company policies, regulatory requirements and safety requirements are enforced. Leadership The ability to lead or guide individuals and teams to meet company strategy and goals. Acts as Human Resource liaison for Fulfillment Center employees. Work closely with leadership to establish and achieve the facility goals from a cost and productivity standpoint. Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers. Provide Distribution Network support when needed (may include travel). Create a positive work environment that promotes creativity, teamwork and recognition. Support and promote activities designed to strengthen morale, teamwork and improve the overall work environment. Responsible for safety performance of the location. Talent Management Work with Operations Leadership to provide various training programs to enhance employee skills and acquire new knowledge. Identify high-potential candidates who will build the bench strength of the distribution center. Collaborate with leaders for all staffing functions (recruiting, hiring, training, development, performance reviews, salary administration, promotions, transfers and disciplinary action). Mentor employees, measure performance, and conduct regular performance reviews. Resolve employee issues consistently. Operations Plan, direct, and control activities of the facility department from receiving, put away, picking and shipping. Ensure orders received before cutoff are processed and shipped according to customer requests. Analyze daily receiving and put‑away status. Review productivity reports and dashboards, identify and implement opportunities for improvement. Manage and monitor all activities of inventory control and maintenance. Communicate facility goals for cost, quality and safety to staff. Report to the Operations Manager and provide regular location updates. Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, provincial and local laws and all Patterson policies. Stay knowledgeable of current distribution methods. Support continuous improvement and Total Quality Management. Develop a culture of open communication and trust. Perform all functions of the Distribution Center and possess urgency to join in any required role. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, distribution/fulfillment logistics or equivalent experience. 8+ years of supervision experience and 5 years of leadership responsibility. 3+ years of inventory management software experience. Proven analytical, problem‑solving, communication, interpersonal skills. Organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through. Success in leadership, prioritizing and time management. Complete CPR & First Aid training upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with inventory systems. Warehouse leadership experience. 10+ years in a logistics operation. Ability to read and administer all company policies. Expert knowledge of information systems used during daily business (order and inventory systems, office applications). Ability to manage a budget and execute operations plans to meet expense goals. Experience with financial controls and analytical skills for expense lines.
