EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Assistant Health Director Internal/External Under the direction of the Director of Health, the Assistant Director of Health supports the Health Director in planning, organizing, and directing Lac Seul’s health programs and services. This position assists with administrative, clinical, and community health operations to ensure effective delivery of programs that promote and protect the health of Lac Seul First Nation and its communities. The Assistant Health Director may act as the Health Director in their absence. QUALIFICATIONS Master’s of Public Health (MPH), Masters of Health Administration (MHA), Nursing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an asset. A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in public health administration or management. Proven experience in planning and coordinating events or programs. Supervisory experience preferred. Comprehensive understanding of First Nations history, traditions, and cultural values. Strong knowledge of public health principles, practices, and legislation. Broad knowledge of health issues affecting First Nations. Ability to prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations. Experience of working with computer programs and electronic medical record systems. Leadership and strategic vision. Valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle Knowledge of marketing and communication strategies is an asset.
