Your responsibilities will include conducting driver observations, leading monthly safety meetings, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.You will be responsible for ensuring that safety, compliance, customer service, growth, sales, and financial targets are consistently met. Strong leadership, ethical decision-making, and professionalism are essential to success in this role.**As an Operations Supervisor with us, the minimum responsibilities are:**Oversee the daily operations of multiple collection routes.Review daily route sheets to assess financial (P&L) and operational performance.Ensure drivers complete daily safety and maintenance inspections for all company vehicles and equipment.Collaborate with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries, exchanges, and equipment repairs.Plan and monitor employee schedules and route assignments, maintaining communication throughout the day until all routes are completed.Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing, selecting, and training new employees.Implement performance management processes, including progressive discipline as necessary.Conduct thorough incident investigations, including scene management, first incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.Manage the performance of employees through the progressive discipline process.Maintain Environmental Health and Safety programs including training, meetings and required reporting of relevant EH&S issues.Conducts incident investigations including scene management, first incident report and final analysis with root cause and preventative measures.Ensure full compliance with company safety policies, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and other applicable industry guidelines.**What We Need From You as an Operations Supervisor:**High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.Possession of or willingness to obtain a valid DZ driveru2019s license (or higher) and compliance with all DOT regulations.Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and MTO regulations.Experience operating refuse collection equipment is an asset.Strong data entry and analytical skills.A SAFETY-FIRST mindset with a proactive approach to workplace safety.Self-motivated with a strong ability to take initiative.Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements**What Youu2019ll Get From Us as an Operations Supervisor:**Competitive Wages: $72k annually + up to 10% performance bonusRetirement Plan with company match; let us help you save for your futureBenefits; Medical, Dental, VisionPerks, perks, perks Employee Assistance Program, Scholarship Opportunities for kids, Employee Stock Purchase PlanInsurance: Life, Short Term/Long Term Disability**_We thank all applicants for their interest but advise only those selected for an interview will be contacted._****_Waste Connections of Canada is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
