Senior System Validation Engineer

Responsibilities Lead and perform system-level validation of infotainment and connected car systems on-bench and in-vehicle. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures across domains such as AR/VR and other IoT devices. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and sanity testing for Android-based infotainment platforms. Validate security features including Secure Boot, OTA update mechanisms, authentication, and encryption. Perform root cause analysis of complex system issues by analyzing logs, bus traces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and debugging data. Support OTA (Over-the-Air) software update validation and ensure system reliability post-deployment. Collaborate with development and quality teams to triage defects, verify fixes , and drive closure of critical issues. Utilize tools such as CANoe, Vehicle Spy, Wireshark, Bugzilla, JIRA, RTC, and CodeBeamer for system debugging, test execution, and defect tracking. Develop Python-based test automation scripts and log analysis utilities to enhance validation efficiency. Mentor junior team members and participate in design and test reviews to ensure comprehensive coverage and best practices. Support production launch activities and provide technical validation inputs for EOL testing and customer audits. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or related Engineering field. 7+ years of experience in automotive embedded system validation, with a focus on infotainment and in-vehicle systems. Hands‑on experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet , and related diagnostic protocols (OBD, DTC, PID/DID). Strong understanding of Android Automotive OS , embedded Linux, or QNX platforms. Experience with test management tools (DNG, RQM, RTC, or similar). Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and log parsing. Familiarity with ISO26262 and automotive safety validation concepts. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience validating EV, ADAS, or telematics systems. Exposure to secure communication validation (e.g., IPSec, TLS, Secure CAN). Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes and V‑model validation flow. Certifications in Vehicle Spy, Automotive Ethernet , or related technologies.
