Experienced Highly Professional HVAC Service Journeyman Join to apply for the Experienced Highly Professional HVAC Service Journeyman role at Aire Serv of Calgary South We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Service Journeyman to join our team. As an HVAC Service Journeyman, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential customers. Your expertise in troubleshooting and servicing HVAC equipment will ensure the efficient operation of systems and the satisfaction of our clients. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, including identifying problems with components such as motors, fans, compressors, thermostats, and electrical wiring. Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring that the work is completed accurately and efficiently. Test HVAC systems to verify proper operation after repairs or maintenance work. Install and configure HVAC controls and thermostats. Perform HVAC system installations and replacements as needed. Collaborate with customers to understand their HVAC concerns and provide appropriate solutions and recommendations. Keep accurate records of work performed, including service reports, repair logs, and equipment specifications. Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and HVAC codes and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure the well‑being of oneself and others. Requirements Valid HVAC Journeyman license or certification. Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician, with a strong track record of diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems. In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including their components, operations, and repair techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload. Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and tight spaces. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Additional certifications in specialized areas of HVAC service and repair. Knowledge of energy‑efficient HVAC systems and sustainable practices. Experience working with a variety of HVAC brands and models. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and controls.
