Assignment:

Two - Full-time 1.0 FTE Educational assistant positions

Duties to commence August 28, 2024

Qualifications and/or Assets:

Experience supporting students and children with behavioral needs would be considered an asset

Candidates must be comfortable working with students with Autism and ADHD

Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant

Assistance with personal care needs and fine motor skills will be required

Operation of medical equipment such as wheelchairs and lifts

Ability to support literacy and numeracy

Use of assistive communication would be considered an asset

Ability to work with numerous service providers

Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

Calm and patient approach to solving problems

Willingness to work in an active, team orientated learning environment

Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion and patience.

Commitment to ongoing professional growth
