Senior Consultant – Strategy (Capital Markets & Banking) Location: Toronto, Canada Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant focused on Capital Markets and Banking. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial services, strategic problem-solving, and transformation initiatives, combined with experience in leading projects within global consulting firms. This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to design and implement strategies that drive growth, operational efficiency, and innovation across capital markets and banking domains. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Advisory: Develop and deliver strategic recommendations for clients in capital markets and banking, including growth strategies, operating model design, and digital transformation. Market & Industry Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to inform client strategies. Client Engagement: Manage client relationships, lead workshops, and present insights to senior executives and decision-makers. Oversee end-to-end delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely execution. Support clients in adopting emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, cloud) and implementing data‑driven strategies. Required Qualifications: Education: MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution preferred. Experience: 6–10 years of experience in strategy consulting, with a focus on financial services (capital markets, banking). Prior experience in Big 4 or Tier‑1 consulting firms (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG). Proven track record in delivering strategic projects for global banks, investment firms, or capital market participants. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Deep understanding of capital markets products, banking operations, and regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with digital transformation and emerging technologies in financial services. Preferred Attributes: Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment. Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on delivering measurable impact.
