Position Summary The Maintenance Coordinator supports the engineering and maintenance department by coordinating daily operations, service requests, contractor visits, inventory management, and preventive maintenance scheduling. This role ensures maintenance tasks are tracked, prioritized, and completed efficiently to uphold the safety, comfort, and standards of the hotel properties. The job holder must also be able to perform minor repairs, basic troubleshooting, and assist guests when the property technician is not available. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance schedules across all assigned properties. Act as the primary liaison between hotel management, engineering staff, and external contractors or vendors. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including logs, reports, and service histories. Assist in planning and tracking CAPEX routine maintenance projects. Monitor inventory and order supplies, parts, and tools as needed. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire protection standards. Respond to urgent maintenance requests, including supporting guests directly when needed. Conduct minor repairs and perform initial troubleshooting for general maintenance issues. Provide on-property support in the absence of a shift engineer or property technician. Conduct periodic inspections and audits to assess facility conditions and identify maintenance needs. Support the engineering department with reporting, budgeting, and administrative tasks. Coordinate multi-property vendor visits and ensure timely completion of contracted work. Communicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure maintenance activities cause minimal disruption. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is an asset. Previous experience in hospitality or facilities maintenance coordination preferred. Ability to perform minor repairs and basic troubleshooting in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general building systems. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or work order software. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Customer-service oriented with a calm, professional approach when assisting guests. Work Conditions Hybrid with visit to each property per week. May involve evening, weekend, or on-call availability depending on operational needs. Work includes both office-based administrative tasks and on-property physical inspections or repairs.
