Job Description As a Security Officer - PT Truck Gate in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security‑related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your presence and exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. What You’ll Do Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail distribution center and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Observe and report any suspicious behavior, security‑related hazards, or policy violations to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site procedures. Support emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, in accordance with site protocols. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and observations during each shift. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
