Responsibilities Take on a strategic role in the Canadian Infrastructure Sector team. The sector includes planning, design, construction and operation of roads, rail, ports, airports, solid waste, water, wastewater and other public infrastructure. Lead infrastructure sector growth and strategy in Western Canada, specifically British Columbia. Leverage SLR’s client base and your own contacts to develop a business strategy that expands our presence. Promote a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and a One‑Team approach. Based in Vancouver with flexible work options; other locations may be considered. Support key proposals and contribute to business development plans. Identify trends and create long‑term strategies for sustainable growth. Establish a client management team for key targets and support their development. Work with technical disciplines to identify skills gaps, mentor, and recruit talent. Champion an integrated services approach to drive growth across all SLR services. Develop strategic partnerships and relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders. Survey client needs and understand project objectives, scope, and outcomes. Serve as the primary contact on key issues for clients and provide feedback to delivery teams. Generate strategies to improve client satisfaction and sector growth. Stay informed on industry trends and provide reports, analysis, and recommendations. Lead teams for successful program and project delivery, ensuring safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC and client satisfaction. Salary range: $130,000 – $160,000 (final compensation based on education, designation, experience, internal parity and location). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred. 15+ years as an environmental consultant in the infrastructure sector. Deep knowledge of the infrastructure sector and a significant client network. Experience building and implementing business growth strategies and managing project delivery. Broad knowledge of technical disciplines such as ecology, acoustics, air quality, construction monitoring, stakeholder engagement, climate resiliency, contaminated sites, permitting, environmental health and safety, and other infrastructure disciplines. Working knowledge of federal, provincial, municipal and industry regulations. Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams. Willingness to travel for leadership events, conferences and client meetings.
