Senior Salesforce Consultant

MuniPaaS is looking for a Senior Salesforce Consultant who can bridge business analysis, solution design, and hands‑on Salesforce expertise. You’ll help our municipal and public‑sector clients modernize service delivery, streamline operations, and build scalable platforms using Salesforce Service Cloud and Public Sector Solutions. This role combines the analytical discipline of a Business Analyst with the technical leadership of a Solution Architect. If you can translate chaos into clarity, wrangle stakeholders, do killer demos, design smart solutions, and keep delivery on track, you’ll fit right in. Client Discovery & Requirements Lead workshops and meetings with municipal stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points, and future‑state goals. Break down business needs into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases. Map As‑Is and To‑Be processes, identify gaps, and propose practical, scalable Salesforce solutions. Design end‑to‑end Salesforce solutions that support service management, licensing, permits, inspections, citizen engagement, and workforce management. Strong understanding of how Salesforce is configured using both declarative and programmatic tools, such as Flows, LWC, Apex, integrations, and security models and build as needed. Create data models, automation frameworks, integration patterns, and UI designs aligned with municipal standards and compliance requirements (WCAG/AODA, privacy, security). Project Delivery & Leadership Work alongside Project Managers, Developers, Architects, and QA to guide delivery from discovery through deployment. Lead technical and functional discussions, negotiate solution approaches, and ensure the project stays aligned with scope and client priorities. Participate in testing cycles, create training materials, deliver training sessions, and support UAT. Develop deployment plans, training plans, change management materials, and documentation. Quality, Governance & Innovation Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure scalability, maintainability, and compliance. Identify risks early and propose mitigation strategies before they become headaches. Contribute to internal accelerators, reusable components, and best‑practice frameworks. Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends. What You Bring Required 5+ years as a Business Analyst and/or 8+ years of Salesforce experience in technical/functional roles. Strong experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and ideally Public Sector Solutions (Industries). Ability to translate business requirements into clean, scalable solution designs. Hands‑on skills with Salesforce configuration: Flows, SOQL, validation rules, automation, security, etc. Experience integrating Salesforce with third‑party systems (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, Mulesoft, etc.). Experience working with Agile delivery models. Ability to work directly with end users, PMs, and developers to keep deliverables moving. Excellent communication skills, you can simplify the complex without dumbing it down. Comfortable working remotely and driving outcomes with minimal supervision. Preferred Salesforce certifications: Admin, App Builder, Developer, Public Sector Solutions, Application/Solution Architect.
