Reporting to the Senior Director (SD) of Regulatory Reporting, the Director will manage Canadian regulatory financial reporting responsibilities, establish best practices in the CFO Group’s control framework, and support senior leaders across the CFO group and the RBC Enterprise. The role offers a high‑profile, fast‑paced environment with significant visibility and lasting impact. Job Description The Director will build and lead a talented team responsible for regulatory financial reporting in Canada, establish and maintain an effective financial control environment, and provide analysis and insights for senior management across RBC. What will you do? Build and lead a regulatory reporting team and provide analysis and insights for senior management. Ensure accurate and timely filings for Canadian regulators including OSFI, Bank of Canada, and StatsCan. Centralise regulatory reporting from across RBC finance teams to FRR and standardise processes. Maintain an effective financial control environment and operating guidelines. Manage data feeds from financial systems, establish IT controls and improve data infrastructure. Research and provide technical guidance on regulatory filing specifics and interpretation. Address technical queries from stakeholders and communicate issue lifecycle to senior management. Lead external regulatory audits, reviews and examinations. Mentor the team to support professional development and goal achievement. Collaborate with platform financial control teams, IT, Risk Management, Accounting Policy, Tax, Capital and other Enterprise Controllers to resolve regulatory reporting matters. Must Have CPA designation or equivalent with 10+ years of experience; regulatory reporting experience preferred. Strong control and governance mindset. Excellent attention to detail and ability to explain complex issues concisely. Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders. Independent thinker who adapts quickly to new circumstances. Curiosity to explore better ways of working and drive ownership with urgency. Superior organizational skills and multitasking ability.
