Casual Counsellor at Windsor Road Private Clinic Exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team at The Hills Private Hospital’s Windsor Road Private Clinic. Seeking motivated & innovative Counsellor. The Hills Private Hospital is a 111-bed private hospital located in the Hills District of Sydney, consisting of 86 rehab and 25 mental health beds with an expanding day program. We currently offer inpatient and day programs in general mental health (i.e. mood disorders; drug & alcohol). A casual role is now available in both the inpatient and day program settings. Applicants must be flexible, team oriented, and be prepared to hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates knowledge, skills, judgement and care in the effective delivery of counselling services (utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)) for adults presenting with a range of psychiatric disorders Experience in the appropriate use of clinical assessment techniques e.g. structured clinical interviews and self-report measures Provides individual, group and telephone based counselling services >Maximises the efficacy of clinical services through the development of productive and professional relationships with Psychiatrists, General Practitioners and other referral sources Provides input into the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic programs ensuring that they are current and congruent with patient needs. Demonstrates awareness of admission and discharge criteria for therapeutic programs as directed by Health Funds and associated bodies and complies with the completion of relevant documentation Selection Criteria Current full registration with Counselling Governing Bodies Previous experience working on an Inpatient and Day Program Mental Health Unit Experience facilitating group therapy sessions Sound clinical judgement and clinical reasoning skills Superior time management and organisational skills More Information Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority.
