Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Advanced Manufacturing Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia. Full time. 2-Year Convertible Tenure Track. Overview Join the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in a Teaching and Research role. The Lecturer will develop scholarly research and professional activities, while contributing to teaching and service missions. The Senior Lecturer will establish an internationally recognised research program, strengthen industry partnerships, and drive impactful research and innovative advancements in thermo-mechanical engineering. Responsibilities Develop and lead teaching and research activities in advanced manufacturing engineering. Collaborate across disciplines and build industry partnerships to drive impactful research and innovations. Contribute to delivery of teaching through traditional and online/blended models where appropriate. Supervise and mentor students and early-career researchers as applicable. Adhere to UNSW health and safety policies and procedures. Qualifications PhD in a relevant area (e.g., Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, Robotics Engineering). Demonstrated expertise in modern manufacturing processes, including advanced metals and composites, nano- and micro-fabrication, smart design for manufacturing, and robotic manufacturing. Proven ability to translate research results into practical outcomes. Experience with online and blended delivery of teaching. Strong communication and networking skills; ability to work with diverse students and staff. Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team; willingness to undertake required compliance and training. Commitment to UNSW health and safety policies.
