Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Poker Country Manager to drive WPT Global's operations and growth initiatives in Canada. This is a pivotal, remote opportunity to contribute to our market presence, develop and execute strategic initiatives, and ensure WPT Global thrives within the Canadian poker landscape. You will be a key contributor to our Canadian business, focusing on strategy, regulatory adherence, marketing, and business development. About WPT Global Since WPT's inaugural high-stakes televised poker games in 2003, the brand has symbolized poker prominence. Transitioning from its renowned live events, WPT Global currently pioneers an avant-garde online platform. Our team is a powerhouse of Silicon Valley stalwarts, data virtuosos, and gaming connoisseurs. Our mission is to redefine online poker and gaming experiences for players of all levels—wherever they may be. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for WPT Global's poker business in Canada, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local market nuances. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and initiatives to grow our player base and revenue in Canada. Ensure full compliance with all Canadian federal and provincial online gaming and poker regulations, collaborating with legal and compliance teams. Oversee the development and execution of tailored marketing campaigns for the Canadian audience to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Forge and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payment providers, media partners, and industry influencers across Canada. Contribute to budget planning, forecast revenue, and work toward profitability targets in the Canadian market. Provide market insights and feedback to global product development teams to ensure offerings meet the needs of Canadian players. Champion an exceptional player experience for Canadian users, prioritizing customer satisfaction and retention. What You Bring Extensive experience (5+ years preferred) in the online poker industry with understanding of its dynamics, player behaviors, and competitive landscape. In-depth knowledge of the Canadian gaming market, including federal and provincial regulatory frameworks, player preferences, and regional nuances. Proven ability to drive initiatives and influence outcomes within cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious business goals. Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a track record of identifying opportunities and delivering measurable results. Strong business development and negotiation skills to identify and secure partnerships. Deep understanding of effective marketing strategies within online gaming space, specifically poker. Driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding performance targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry and adapt to changing market conditions. Preferred Qualifications Native-level fluency in French, particularly for engaging effectively with the Quebec market. Experience navigating provincial regulatory bodies (e.g., AGCO, Loto-Québec).
