Potential Directors should own a deep commitment to DUCA as a cooperative financial banking enterprise, strive to provide best‑of‑class Member experience, and have a vision to use profits for purpose. Directors must contribute constructively to all discussions in a collaborative environment. They will also prepare deeply for Board or committee meetings, requiring advanced financial acumen, corporate governance experience, and prudential risk management. Workload is approximately 6–8 hours per week. Qualities & Qualifications Team player with demonstrated business experience and appropriate level of knowledge. Independent thinker bringing a diverse, knowledgeable perspective to Board discussions. Good written and verbal communication skills to participate fully in Board analysis and debate on corporate governance, responsibilities, legal accountability, finance, strategy, and audit. Ability to make significant contributions to long‑range planning and strategy. Strong data and financial result analysis skills for proper Board oversight. Understanding and promotion of DUCA’s goals, values, and philosophy of doing business. Active promotion of DUCA to attract and source business. Free of any conflicts of interest. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. Accounting designation, senior technology leadership, and executive compensation expertise are assets. Call for Applications Every year, DUCA requests its Members to submit names of people who could potentially be Directors of the credit union. There are three Board positions open for the upcoming election. These positions have a three‑year term. Applications will be accepted from Friday, November 14, 2025 until Friday, November 28, 2025 at 5:00 PM. An application form and rules for nominations are available online at duca.com or at each branch location.
