The Investment Performance & Portfolio Oversight (IP&PO) team is responsible for investment governance, risk management, compliance monitoring, and performance analytics across traditional and alternative asset classes. Location Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours 37.5 hours per week Sector General TD positions Remuneration $76,800 - $115,200 CAD (base salary varies by experience and location) Overview of Responsibilities As a member of the compliance monitoring team, you ensure that all portfolios managed by TDAM follow applicable regulatory and client investment rules and restrictions. You will work primarily with the Bloomberg compliance monitoring system. Specific Accountabilities Maintain operation of compliance monitoring systems, understanding internal tools such as Bloomberg AIM. Use Bloomberg AIM to monitor compliance rules, test for violations, and analyze results. Oversee implementation and maintenance of compliance rules. Ensure all applicable investment restrictions are coded accurately on the compliance system for new mandates and amended when required for existing mandates. Review new account rule coding prior to portfolio managers submitting the first trade for synthetic mandates. Stay current on US and Canadian investment management regulations, including the Ontario Securities Act, Canadian NI 81-102, U.S. Investment Companies Act, and U.S. Adviser’s Act. Liaise with Regulatory Policy and Governance (RPG), Product, Portfolio Management, Compliance, and Legal teams. Provide education on Canadian and U.S. regulatory knowledge related to derivative monitoring. Job Requirements / Skills / Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a buy‑side compliance role (pre‑/post‑trade). Strong understanding of investment strategies and asset types (equities, fixed income, derivatives). Proficiency with Bloomberg CMGR and VMGR or similar compliance systems (preferred). Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement client and regulatory investment restrictions. Strong communication skills, influencing outcomes and simplifying complex topics. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to confront conflict professionally. Demonstrated cross‑functional collaboration. Self‑starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Programming/database management experience considered an asset. Derivative Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course (DFOL) is an asset. Working toward or holding a CFA designation is an asset.
