Knowledge & Skills You are great with numbers and have good mathematical skills. You have solid computer skills including MS Office Suite. You have a working understanding of sea freight and port terminal operations. Experience You have at least 1‑2 years of work experience in ocean transportation, logistics and/or relevant background. Nice‑to‑Have Experience working in a food manufacturing facility. Experience managing import / export ocean shipments. Knowledge and experience working with GP (Great Plains). Things You Will Do Coordinate all logistics and transportation needs in a busy and growing food manufacturing environment. Process all shipments, small parcel orders, documentation, and related information. Establish relationships with transportation companies and recommend ways to reduce costs. Ensure timely and consistent follow up with designated departments, carrier companies, overseas shipments, etc. Keep track of shipments and truck movement and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Resolve problems concerning transportation, customer issues, imports/exports, late orders and more. Review and approve all costs for shipments, set KPIs, and log both regularly. Other Responsibilities You are willing to work flexible shifts to cover for vacations, sick days or leave if required.
