Employee Relations Officer – CPA Student Practical Experience Evaluation 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants CPA Ontario is seeking an Employer Relations Officer who will be responsible for evaluating all experience reports submitted by students through the profession’s online Practical Experience Reporting Tool (PERT). The Officer will partner with organizations to set up approved student training programs, support and review existing pre‑approved programs, be responsible for a portfolio of employers training CPA students, and plan and execute projects that may be provincial and/or national in scope. What You’ll Be Doing: Review CPA students’ practical experience reports in PERT against standards and provide clear assessment feedback. Conduct advisement sessions with students, clarifying requirements and next steps. Build and maintain employer relationships to support a positive training experience and resolve issues. Establish pre‑approved training programs with employer partners and ensure alignment to standards. Monitor existing pre‑approved programs for continued compliance and guide corrective actions as needed. Who You Are: CPA in good standing with at least 5 years of post‑designation experience, and a degree and/or diploma in a relevant field. Experienced working in public accounting, corporate and/or government environments. Proven experience performing assessment work against a rubric/set of requirements. Experience developing assessment rubrics and/or task statements. Clear and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships, present effectively, and resolve sensitive issues collaboratively. Highly organized and adaptable professional with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and understand how experience data should be captured in PERT. Awareness of CPA practical experience standards, policies, practices, competency development and demonstration. Attentive to detail with demonstrated use of critical thinking and sound judgment. Able to work independently while thriving in collaborative, cross‑functional teams. Skilled in interpreting regulatory frameworks and translating policy into operational and compliance tools. Familiar with CPA program structures or other professional credentialing systems; considered a strong asset. Knowledge of the CPA Competency Map 2.0 also considered an asset. Demonstrated success in designing and implementing certification, training, or academic programs in regulated settings – considered an asset. What We Offer: A fast‑paced environment.
