If so, come join us and help redefine the Canadian banking landscape What You Will Be Doing We are seeking a Senior DevOps Specialist with strong hands‑on experience in Cloud Migration, DevOps Development (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Terraform), combined with exposure to AI Ops and application modernization initiatives. Our environment is primarily Google Cloud and you will be leading efforts around building, optimizing, and scaling DevOps practices tailored for Java‑based applications. The Sr DevOps Specialist will extend release automation and deployment capabilities across a diverse set of Java‑based enterprise applications, including source control management in Git, automated build and packaging, deployment and test execution, and provisioning of cloud‑based environments based on Kubernetes (Linux and Windows). The specialist is primarily responsible for cloud migration, automating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and CI environments. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Extend release automation and deployment capabilities across diverse Java enterprise applications, including Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes. Primary responsibility for cloud migration and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and environments. Bring past development experience along with DevOps skill sets. Show strong cloud expertise and be comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Have hands‑on development experience and a broad technical skill set, with knowledge of best practices, configuration management, and deployment automation. Have experience in release coordination and deployment, and be willing to work on overnight deployments. Preferably have a financial services background, especially from Big Five Canadian banks or similar institutions. Act as an architect and project lead, driving strategic DevOps transformations across complex financial applications and infrastructure. Skills Proficient in Agile Software Delivery, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, GitOps, Cloud Native Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and Deployment Automation & Orchestration. Technical proficiency with programming languages, scripts, and processes to support technological advances. Experience with open‑source technologies and cloud services (GCP and GKE). Support developers with troubleshooting, resolving deployment issues, and maintaining non‑production environments. Develop Jenkins CI/CD pipelines as code for non‑production environments. Champion a customer‑focused culture, deepening client relationships and leveraging broader bank relationships. Able to consider the bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day‑to‑day activities. Commit to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk controls. Champion a high performance environment and inclusive culture.
