This role is perfect for a communications professional who excels at transforming technical information into clear, engaging presentations and visual content. You will support both internal and external communications efforts, focusing on developing high-impact materials that inform, educate, and inspire stakeholders across the service area.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunication Development: Assist in creating internal and external communications that educate and inform on changes impacting the organization and its customers. Program Communication Materials: Develop key materials such as FAQs, talking points, roadmaps, articles, and metrics dashboards to support leadership and stakeholder communications. Metrics & Reporting: Track communication effectiveness through metrics like reach, open rates, and sentiment analysis, and prepare leadership updates on readiness, adoption, and risks. Change Management Experience: Support stakeholders and showcase integration progress with visual tools like heatmaps. Specific AccountabilitiesDesign and deliver polished presentations for executive briefings, community meetings, and internal communications. Translate complex utility data and operations updates into visually compelling formats. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity of content. Create infographics, slide decks, and visual assets using tools such as PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or similar platforms. Maintain brand consistency across all visual materials. Support video production and editing for internal and external use. Draft and edit content for newsletters, employee updates, and customer communications. Coordinate with subject matter experts and technical staff to gather information and craft clear communications. Manage timelines and deliverables for communication projects. Maintain organized documentation and version control for all visual and written assets. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field. 3 – 5 years of experience in communications, preferably in utilities or public service. Advanced proficiency in presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi) and design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva). Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams. Experience adhering to brand guidelines and communication style guides. Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to hit the ground running. PreferredStrong presentation development and visual storytelling skills.
