About the Opportunity As a Manager, Payroll Delivery, you will lead and oversee our German payroll delivery operations, ensuring our HR outsourcing clients receive accurate, compliant, and high-quality payroll services. In this key leadership role, you will manage a team of Payroll Specialists, drive end-to-end payroll delivery, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders, representing Dayforce Germany in governance reviews, audits, and transformation projects. What You’ll Get to Do Ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of payroll services in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Payroll Specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Oversee the entire payroll lifecycle, including calculation, validation, reconciliation, reporting, accounting, and year-end processes. Monitor and ensure full compliance with German tax, social security, and data privacy regulations, proactively managing legislative changes. Identify, design, and execute process improvement and automation initiatives to optimise efficiency and service quality. Lead governance meetings with clients, presenting performance updates, KPIs, and improvement plans. Collaborate with internal control functions on audit, compliance, and risk management activities. Drive the strategic development of the payroll delivery function in Germany, including capacity planning, resource optimisation, and service expansion. Act as a coach and role model, promoting professional growth, engagement, and career development within your team. What You Bring Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related experience. 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing teams and delivery processes. In-depth knowledge of German payroll, tax, social security, and data privacy legislation. Proven track record in team leadership, process improvement, and client relationship management within a high-volume or outsourced payroll environment. Strong proficiency in payroll systems, HRIS tools, and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Basic understanding of accounting principles and payroll-related reporting. Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage competing priorities. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
