The Vice President of Architectural Cladding is responsible for the general oversight of all production, fabrication, purchasing, warehousing, health and safety, and management of the division. The responsibilities of the individual in this role vary based on the needs of the company.


Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Divisions Projects through managers, site supervisors and forepersons.

Meets with managers and Executive Team to prepare operating budgets.

Manages the division’s production budget and directs others overseeing production planning and control.

Evaluate the efficiency of production sites to determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and production methods and technologies used.

Review and implement operational changes when necessary to ensure production levels are met and safety standards are maintained.

Coordinate and set goals with safety department.

Work towards maintaining and improving customer relations.

Work with other department managers to improve internal workflow and optimize resources.

Coordinate with the Purchasing department as needed to decrease cost overruns and ensure product standards are met.

Work with corporate Logistics department to Manage Cladding Division’s fleet.

Department specific training.

Continual enforcement, review, assessment and updating of departmental policies and procedures.

Continuous monitoring and evaluation of employee performance.

Review labour requirements alongside estimating at tender and throughout job. Complete analysis and review of labour at the conclusion of a project.

Field customer concerns/complaints and produce satisfactory, cost-efficient solutions promptly.

Review and authorize equipment requirements.

Prepare invoicing progress draws to submit to accounting.

Review and approve sub-contractor invoices.

Review and approve personnel expenses.


Experience:

Ten or more years of experience in the construction industry (at least five of which are in a leadership/decision-making role in production/service department).

Solid understanding of Cladding Fabrication, materials, installation, and sourcing. Experience in managing large cladding projects (5-25 million) and overseeing numerous employees.
