Job Description Department Overview: The Market Risk team is responsible for an independent oversight of enterprise-wide market, counterparty credit and liquidity risk while ensuring all significant risks and results are measured and reported. Within the Market Risk - Reporting and Analysis team, we are responsible for a number of activities related to the analysis and reporting of global market risks including Top of the House Risk, Value-at-Risk, Stress, FRTB and various Regulatory reporting mandates. The team executes infrastructure changes with regards to the implementation of new or revised trading desk policies, system migration and model implementations, and analysis of the key measures used by The Bank to monitor and control market risk. Job Description: Reporting to the Market Risk Specialist, the Senior Market Risk Analyst\'s accountabilities include: Support the risk appetite of the bank by independently identifying, measuring, analyzing and monitoring Market Risk metrics including VaR, Stress, FRTB and Top of the House risks Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts Develop, produce and maintain comprehensive market risk reports, ensuring data accuracy and relevance Provide in-depth analysis and commentary on risk exposures and market trends to senior management Participate independently with limited guidance in ad-hoc analysis, and discussions to support different stakeholders Support established enterprise-wide risk escalation, review and approval processes, policies, and risk assessment processes. Be proactive with change management objectives by continuous improvement of independent processes, while ensuring day-to-day operations are maintained, to effectively support the business Execute infrastructure changes with regards to implementation of new, or revised Risk policy changes and ensure that changes are executed in accordance with Market Risk change control procedures and EUC standards Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise Encourage a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, knowledge of the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork Job Requirements An undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or other related field. Relevant industry or risk management experience and/or accreditation (FRM/CFA) Strong knowledge and fundamentals of market risk measurement and financial instruments valuation Familiarity with financial regulations, including the Basel III Framework Efficient with working with substantial amounts of data and complex computations / methodologies Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to learn and adapt quickly Effective communication (written & verbal) and inter-personal skills to facilitate working with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
