The Opportunity Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Finance will act as a subject matter expert and advise on accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, planning & analysis, cash management, banking, tax and other ad‑hoc activities. The director is a member of the Senior Leadership team and manages the finance team. Responsibilities Participate in leadership of RSL’s overall business as a member of the leadership team. Serve as business partner and advisor to the RSL leadership team, providing analysis and insights linking financial reports to business strategies. Assist in maintaining best practices in financial reporting, ownership reporting, banking and investment management. Participate in development and implementation of the corporate strategic plan, establishing vision, goals, objectives and key strategic issues. Lead development of KPIs/benchmarks to target revenue and cost drivers, improving top‑line margins and profitability. Work with leadership to evaluate financial models, reports and KPIs, ensuring relevance and supporting decision‑making for financial and operational effectiveness. Ensure relevant information is available in real time for corporate and branch management to drive efficiency and productivity. Develop and maintain a strong service orientation, ensuring open, effective and responsive communication between the finance team, branches, distribution and corporate leadership. Maintain accurate financial details and general corporate accounting, ensuring accurate records and streamlined consolidation processes. Oversee development of business processes, internal controls, systems and procedures to ensure information integrity. Plan and implement best‑practice process improvements, controls and system enhancements to mitigate financial risks and streamline finance procedures. Ensure safeguards to protect the company's assets and implement an annual audit plan. Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to owners and leadership, with commentary on numbers and variance implications. Drive consistency and accuracy of financial reports presented to owners, leadership and financial institutions. Oversee budgeting process, ensuring buy‑in at branch, distribution and departmental levels. Lead preparation of annual operating and capital budgets aligned with business plan objectives. Ensure capital budgets are supported by strong business cases and in‑depth financial analysis. Support departments and branches in developing and implementing their annual and capital budgets. Assist in development and enforcement of credit policies and controls in the revenue cycle. Work with sales to resolve credit issues and outstanding accounts receivable. Maintain bank and lending relationships; manage master banking arrangements; ensure cost‑effective cash management and short‑term investments. Ensure compliance with banking covenants and appropriate cash flow planning. Liaise with auditors, legal counsel and government officials on accounting/financial reporting matters.
