Job Title Mining Engineering Co-op Company Overview Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is a Canadian mining company focused on the revitalization of the high‑grade, past‑producing Eskay Creek gold‑silver mine. The company is committed to reconciliation, diversity, inclusion, and collaboration with Indigenous partners. Location & Conditions Site‑based camp job at Eskay Creek Mine site. 15 days on/13 days off rotation. Remote site in the Coast Mountains, Tahltan Territory. Ground transportation provided. Exposure to extreme temperatures and outdoor conditions. 4 or 8 month co‑op assignment starting January 2026. Responsibilities Provide technical support to the Operations and Execution teams for surface mining and construction activities. Assist engineers with data analysis, monitoring, material balance activities, drawings preparation and review, and other technical deliverables. Load, review, and analyze drill hole data; manage drill hole database. Identify and report system or data abnormalities. Maintain accurate daily production reports; prepare and present weekly production reports. Assist with blast‑hole assay sample collection and preparation. Support field QA/QC work, field surveying, and geological mapping. Perform productivity simulations and cycle‑time studies; advise engineering on forecasted mining and production rates. Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned. Qualifications Active enrolment in an accredited undergraduate program – Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geology/Earth Sciences. Available for a 4 or 8‑month work term starting January 2026. Practical understanding of the mining industry and mining processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Experience with CAD/GIS software an asset. Familiarity with heavy mobile equipment an asset. Detail oriented; strong written and verbal communication skills. High degree of responsibility for confidential matters. Effective team player who can adapt to new outdoor situations and varied terrain. Strong interpersonal and reasoning skills; proven problem‑solving abilities. Highly self‑motivated with ability to work independently as well as with others. Compensation Hourly rate CA$25–CA$35 p/h, competitive for British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines; actual offer depends on education, training, and experience.
