Intermediate Structural Engineer (Bridges) AtkinsRéalis’ Bridges Department has offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Québec City, and operates worldwide. We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer (Bridges) for our team in Ontario, reporting to the Manager, Bridges – Central Region. The engineer will carry out engineering activities in the field of bridges and other structural projects, including design, evaluation, inspection, and execution. Your role Support and develop the technical knowledge of professionals (engineers and technicians) through studies, structural analysis, and evaluations. Carry out preliminary and detailed structural design, including tender preparation for construction and rehabilitation of bridges and other structures. Conduct structure inspections and asset management activities for existing structures. Prepare proposals, technical publications, and conference presentations. About You Degree in Civil Engineering (preferably structural major) and registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with PEO. 7+ years of experience in analysis and design of bridges and transportation structures; railway experience is an asset. Demonstrated experience in multi‑disciplinary teams delivering projects of varying complexity, types, sizes, and scopes. Experience with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance‑of‑Way Association (AREMA) Code. Experience reviewing condition survey reports, recommending rehabilitation strategies, and preparing structural designs and evaluation contracts for the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) and other key clients (MTO, Metrolinx, Municipalities, TTC). Proficient in SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, MIDAS, Staad Pro, ETABS, Bentley ProjectWise, and Microsoft Office applications.
