Our Cathodic Protection and AC Mitigation teams are a sub‑set of both our Integrity team and our Energy business unit. The Integrity group is a center of excellence for Stantec, and as such, we work with other Stantec divisions worldwide to assist and design cathodic protection, stray current mitigation and integrity solutions for the Energy, municipal and water resources projects. Your Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer to join our Corrosion Prevention team. This is a full‑time position with a Hybrid work model. Although the preferred working locations include Edmonton and Calgary for team interactions, other working locations will be considered for the right candidate. Your Key Responsibilities Support projects dealing with Cathodic Protection (CP), stray current mitigation and engineering assessments related to asset integrity Design and evaluation of CP systems and stray current mitigation (field and office) To perform third party reviews of reports and designs related to corrosion, cathodic protection, and stray current Delivery of organized, accurate, timely and cost-effective integrity services that meet client, Stantec and industry/regulatory standards Technical report writing, preparation of charts, tables, and design reports Develop detailed designs as required and collaborate with drafting personnel to prepare design drawing packages Perform engineering calculations (resistance, current requirement, current distribution and attenuation, ground potential rise, etc.) Coordinate engineering aspects of installation of AC mitigation and cathodic protection systems Potential field work consisting of soil resistivity testing, structure potentials, right‑of‑way evaluations, and constructability assessments for AC mitigation and cathodic protection systems Assist and consult with other team members on a regular basis for designated projects Contribute to Stantec Specifications, Procedures and Standards as part of Stantec’s continuous improvement Be familiar with the applicable codes and legislation (AMPP/NACE, CSA, API, PHMSA, DOT, etc.) Liaise with and provide technical assistance to other divisions within the company Establish and maintain positive client relationships Compliance with Stantec’s EH&S program and Quality System, with a focus on safety in the field Your Capabilities and Credentials Demonstrated technical proficiency Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills are essential Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and adaptability #J-18808-Ljbffr
