**Job Title: Painter****Job Description**A leading steel fabrication and finishing facility in Surrey, BC, is seeking a skilled Painter to join our production team. You will be responsible for preparing, priming, and finishing metal surfaces using both spray and manual painting methods, ensuring all work meets project specifications.**Responsibilities**Prepare, prime, and finish metal surfaces to required specifications using spray and manual painting methods.Mix and apply coatings such as paint, primer, epoxy, and zinc to meet project specifications.Perform surface preparation, including blasting, grinding, and cleaning, as required for each project.Maintain painting equipment, booths, and supplies in good working conditions.Follow safe work practices for ventilation, respiratory protection, and material handling.Complete and sign off on paint logs and quality documentation, including inspection forms, thickness checks, and touch-up records.Collaborate with fitters, welders, and quality control to ensure finished products meet company and customer standards.Direct and assist paint helpers in daily tasks to ensure consistent quality, productivity, and adherence to project schedules.**Essential Skills**4u20135 years of industrial or production painting experience, preferably in steel fabrication.Knowledge of coating systems and surface preparation standards (e.g., SSPC / NACE).Familiarity with airless and conventional spray equipment.Ability to read job specifications and complete QC records accurately and professionally.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.**Additional Skills & Qualifications**Experience with industrial paint, sandblasting, grinding, and sanding.Proficiency in using spray guns and working in paint booths.Capability in paint preparation and industrial painting.**Why Work Here?**Enjoy a flexible work schedule with diverse projects that offer a unique opportunity for career advancement.
